Improv
Ages 10-16, All levels of experience welcome
Wednesdays, Sept 3-Oct 8 5:00pm-6:00pm

Students will play lots of fun Improv games in this class, and perform a live showcase to conclude the session. Improv teaches acting skills, stage presence, social skills, and teamwork.

Acting 1
Ages 8-12, All levels of experience welcome

Students will learn about acting, play improv games, and rehearse a play to be performed on the final day of class. This class is more advanced than the Intro to Acting class.

Intro to Acting
Ages 6-10, All levels of experience welcome

Students will learn basic acting skills, explore theatre and improv, and create a short presentation to be presented on the final day of the session. Students are welcome to sign up even regardless of prior acting experience.

Students will learn acting skills and rehearse a play to perform at the conclusion of the session. The play to be performed will be selected specifically for the group of students who sign up. Students are not required to have any prior acting experience for this class, but the material will be more advanced than Acting I.

Voice & Movement
Ages 11-18, No experience required

Students will explore using their voice and body to enhance their acting skills and create characters on stage, focusing on using their voice with a voice-over approach. The performance will be a radio-style play live on stage.

ROCK MUSIC

In this music class, students will work on instrument skills a group. This session is presented more as a "workshop" focused on advancing skills or learning a new instrument.

Advanced scenes & Monologues

This class tackles complex scenes & focuses on character development and acting technique. Students will present scenes in a performance for family and friends on the final day of the session.

Writing for the Theatre
Ages 12-18, Some prior acting experience recommended

This class focuses on finding your own voice, ideas, and creativity through writing your own performance piece. The teacher guides you through the creative writing process, but the student gets to choose the form: a monologue, a scene, a song, poem, short play, etc. Presentation on the last day will be determined by the students and what they'd like to present.
